We completed one of our four Infrastructure projects on April 9, 2025. We had begun last September, did more in January, and more in March
Eventually when the ties rot, we’ll do the whole thing as a poured surface, but this will do us fine for now.
On Sunday, March 30 at 10 am, Leif, Bob, Rob, Dave installed the twenty-two 16×16 tiles under the ticket-selling table and on the north side of the handcar track (brown to the hand car location, grey to the ticket table)
Laura and Mary joined us later to clear out the gravel near the rails.
Two tiles need trimming; Russ is on it. And we need 30′ of 1/2″ x 5″ boards to install on the handcar track in the station. (Bob Johnson)
On Wednesday, April 8, Russ shaved the two tiles that didn’t fit; they do now!

As an interim step to a poured concrete surface, on September 10 we installed some pavers on the most heavily used area of the station
