Anderson Storage Location moved

We needed to change the location of our outdoor-stored Anderson Sawmill Collection material.

While we had the moving equipment, took one of the Steam Donkeys to its new home at the Farmer’s Market.

Anderson Donkey Frame with Steam Engine and one drum moved first
Had to temporarily move the Ross lumber carrier
Loaded the sled
Loaded the boiler
Frame too heavy for the self-loader.
Thanks to Steve Skorey whose excavator was on site to help lift it
Tricky co-ordination needed to lift and move
Donkey 1 sled, boiler, frame with stean engine and the 3 winches
backed 1 km down McLeod Road
took the boiler off first and set it aside
Next the sled
Frame required 2nd lifter – thanks to Valley Building Supplies
Oops – forgot to cut notches in the sled to accommodate low drum parts
had to re-position the frame to the end of the flatbed
Dan and Zeke helped Bob finish the chainsaw notches
self-loaders repostioned to finish the frame lift
Well done to chainsawyers and lifters – it all fit!!

after lunch, continued the move of Anderson Mill items
