The gutters were installed on March 18 by Joe Huetzelmann & Company.

The 20′ x 32′ system has only one downspout. Our follow-on work is to connect the downpipe to the rain barrel in the water tower. For the freezing season, we need a suitable bypass.

Joe recommended and installed the narrow bottom (2.25 inch) five-inch facia gutter for best drainage over the long drain distance (50′)

We have a clean-out piece, an elbow and straps for the connection. We need to cut a hole in the water tower near the top.

Interesting technique for making the gutter. No joints except the corners; the machine creates the gutter from a roll of aluminum, the operator adds the top straps as it comes out.

The rain barrel feeds the garden. We’ve decided for 2025 to plant items that don’t need any water other than the rain barrel, perhaps just a cover crop to minimize weeds.

While on site, Joe H. & Co put a gutter above the vendor booths adjacent to our shed. No downspout; the rainwater makes a waterfall where no customers walk.
